XMapTools software (referred to herein as “XMapTools”, “software”, “website”, “we”, “our”) developed this policy to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy and protection of personal data. Collection of Personal Data

In order to provide our products, services, and websites as described in Use of Information below, we collect and process personal data from the users of our products, services, and website. We may collect information from you such as, but not limited to, your name, email address, website address, nickname of third-party websites, biographical information and information about your use of our website, products and services (“Personal Data”). You are not required to provide us with all of the Personal Data listed above, but if you do not do so, we may not be able to effectively provide you with our products, services and information.

We do not collect any Personal Data, usage or diagnostic information when you download, install or use XMapTools and during automatic updates.

Information You Directly and Voluntarily Provide to Us

Online registration: when you join in the website, you are required to provide certain information, including your email address. You may also voluntarily provide us with information such as your name, website address, nickname of third-party websites, biographical information. This information is only used to communicate with you.

Announcements: when you join in the website, you subscribe to XMapTools News for no charge. This information is used to send to you announcements and advertisements about our products and services. You may unsubscribe at any time by unselecting the “Accept to receive emails sent to multiple recipients (but still accept emails sent only to me)” option at the bottom of your profile.

Forum: When you post using our forum service, we collect the data shown in the post form, and also the your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact form: We keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Information We Automatically Collect from You

We analyze traffic to this site. We collect statistical data on an aggregated basis. For example, we collect information about the domain names of servers that bring visitors to our site, and we count the number of visitors and keep track of where they go on our site. Such information allows us to find out what areas users visit most frequently and what services they access the most, which enables us to create a better overall experience for our users. We collect and processes Personal Data in the European Union and Switzerland and store the data on servers in the EU.

Notwithstanding our efforts, the Internet has inherent security risks.
